During the consultation period, Nordic Ecolabelling gives you the opportunity to comment on our proposal for new criteria for Furniture and fitments 031.
Nordic Ecolabelling are revising the requirements for Furniture and fitments. You are welcome to respond to the proposal no later than 9 June, 2025.

A compilation of the consultation responses, with answers from Nordic Ecolabelling and the names of the responding organisations, will be published on the Nordic Swan Ecolabel web page.
Most important issues
The proposal concerns the following issues in the following sections:
5.2.3 Quality
- O4 Performance properties – introduction of minimum performance level according to specific standards.
- O5 Wear resistance of surfaces – update of specifications for test for the resistance of surfaces on furniture.
5.3.1 Chemicals
- General requirement for prohibited substances – Clarified prohibition against PFAS.
