Here you can declare your market pulp so that paper producers will find it when applying for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

Inspection of market pulps

As a pulp supplier you can have your raw materials inspected by Nordic Ecolabelling. This inspection is needed if you wish to get your pulp approved for usage in Nordic Swan Ecolabelled products.

The MSA Portal is used for applying for inspection of pulps. The pulp producer submits the documentation concerning forestry management, emissions, energy use and waste disposal related to pulp production (see the Basic Module and Forestry requirements).

Inspected pulps are listed in the database for paper producers. Note that only the name of the pulp, type and producer will appear. Confidential information is not disclosed.

Marketing of inspected pulp

Pulps that have been inspected and approved by the Nordic Ecolabelling can be marketed as such in product catalogues and on websites, for example. However, it is not permitted to use the Nordic Swan Ecolabel logo as there is a risk of assumption that the pulp is ecolabelled.

Market pulp producers may also apply for listing of their inspected pulp on these web pages. Trade name of the pulp, type and production site will appear on the lists. Confidential information is not disclosed.
